Ensure your print projects turn out exactly as expected by following our artwork guidelines. These standards help avoid delays, ensure accurate color reproduction, and deliver crisp, professional results—whether you're ordering wall graphics, window decals, signage, or custom stickers.
ARTWORK SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1. File Formats

Preferred: PDF (High Quality Print), AI, EPS

Also accepted: TIFF, PSD, JPG (300 DPI minimum)

Avoid: Screenshots, Word docs, PowerPoint, or web-optimized images
2. Resolution
-
Minimum: 300 DPI at full scale up to 3' , 150 DPI 3' to 6' and 100DPI 6'+

Large format (wall/window graphics): 100–150 DPI at final size is acceptable
3. Color Mode

CMYK for print
-
Convert all spot colors to CMYK unless using specific Pantones

RGB files may shift in color when printed
4. Bleed & Safe Zones
-
Bleed: Add at least 0.125" (1/8") on all sides
-
Safe Zone: Keep important text/logos 0.25" inside trim lines
-
For wall and window graphics: Add 1–2” extra bleed depending on install method
5. Fonts & Text

Outline all fonts or embed them
-
Avoid font sizes under 6 pt for readability

Convert live text to curves when possible
6. Cut Contours (for decals/stickers)

Include a separate spot color layer named “CutContour”

Use a 1 pt stroke, solid color (no transparency)

Keep cut lines smooth, no unnecessary anchor points
7. Scaling & Size

Submit files at 100% scale if possible

For very large graphics, scale to 25% or 50% and clearly label scale

Include dimensions in file name or a separate note
8. Linked Images

Embed all images in the file or include linked files separately

Avoid low-res previews or missing links
9. Proofing

We do not proofread; review all text and design carefully

Color matching is best-effort unless PMS colors or samples are provided
10. Uploading Files

Use [Dropbox / Google Drive / WeTransfer] or email for files over 20MB

Include project name and contact info in the folder or file name

Please review your proof carefully.
By approving this proof, you confirm that all content—including spelling, grammar, layout, colors, dimensions, and design elements—is correct and meets your expectations. Once approved, Inkstallation is not responsible for any errors or omissions overlooked during the proofing process.
Client errors can be reprinted at an additional fee. Payment for the redesign, reprint and delivery of the item must be paid in full before artwork will begin.
Reprints due to client error will be placed in our printing queue and will not be prioritized over existing jobs.
Colors may vary slightly between digital proofs and the final printed product due to differences in screen calibration and print production methods. If precise color matching is critical, please request a physical sample or color match service.
Your approval signifies acceptance of all artwork and production terms.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CLAUSES
Installation Disclaimer:
The client is responsible for ensuring that the installation surface is clean, dry, and suitable for graphic application. Inkstallation is not liable for adhesion issues due to unsuitable surfaces, environmental conditions, or unprepared areas.​
Turnaround Time:
Production and installation timelines begin after final proof approval. Delays in approval may affect delivery or install dates. Rush fees may apply for expedited service.​
Revisions:
This proof includes up to [X] rounds of revisions. Additional changes may incur extra charges.
​Material Limitations:
Vinyl and other materials may have limitations based on environmental factors. We do not guarantee performance on surfaces such as brick, textured walls, or unsealed wood without prior consultation.
Copyright/Trademark Disclaimer:
By submitting your design for printing, you affirm that you have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to reproduce the artwork and any logos or trademarks included in it. You agree that you will be solely responsible for any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property infringement claims that may arise from the printing of your design. Inkstallation is not liable for any such claims and will not be held responsible for any damages or consequences that may result.
